All right people, I have some positives to share!
First… I have a job! Hooray! I’m working at the “lingerie ‘n more” store again, and I’m pretty much fucking excited.
Second… I didn’t share this earlier because I was very upset about it, but Julie, our little stray, had become very ill. She was born with an immune deficiency very similar to someone with HIV. But, today after three days of hospitalization little Julie is on the up swing and is doing a lot better. She may even get to come home today!
Third… I’m finally getting all my paperwork together for College and that is incredible to me. I can finally finish my degree! Let’s boogie. Seriously, dance for me. 🙂
Oh and my house is clean. Well, almost. I mean we all need limits. I actually just cleaned the counter and rearranged the pillows on the sofa. That’s really all anyone looks at anyway, right? OH! And I sanitized Julie’s kennel so she doesn’t get sick again just in case she comes home tomorrow. See… I’m a planner. *wink wink*
In closing today was pretty much a five-star fabulous day. 🙂
I know I am doing a lot of shameless self-promotion here on this blog, but really I’m still in the shocked phase of actually realizing a publisher wanted to take my little fantasy fiction novel and put it into hands of real life people. That blows my mind. Like… I wouldn’t be nearly as shocked if a three-headed pit bull named sassy learned to talk than I am about being a published author.
You must forgive this shameless act of indulgence. Please!
Now on to some mundane things:
I may be hired back at the lingerie ‘n more (take the “n more” as far as your imagination will allow you) store soon. I certainly hope so. I think the bank teller actually cringes when they see me walk in.
Right now I’m reading Pale Demon by Kim Harrison and its fabulous. Love fantasy fiction. *Big Grin*
Love, love, love. ❤
I spent about a year or more writing Kiss of Freedom and in my head I always had Lily Cole pictured as Erina.
I have always thought Lily Cole was gorgeous, but I also kept picturing her as Erina as I was writing. What do you all think? Yea? Nay?
I really don’t have a set one for Liam… any suggestions?
If you haven’t checked out my book yet, please do so. I would probably give you a present if I could. I can’t, but I would totally think you’re awesome. Go here, or here. Love, love, love.
I really need to find a “real” job. Not say writing isn’t my passion, but let’s face it all those bills by my wine cabinet are threatening to do horrible things if I don’t pay up soon. Julie’s bills aren’t helping, but then again I have to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves. So… the job search continues.
Also, we’re going to the lake today so I’ll take lots of pictures and share with you guys. Yay! 🙂
My little rescue
And this would be Julie!
Okay, stay with me here – I’m terribly new to this whole blogging thing.
First off, I found a puppy on the side of the highway on Monday and of course (big sigh) I picked it up, because well… who can leave a puppy on the side of the road? Not me! Turns out (as I promptly took the little lab looking thing to the vet) Julie – yep already named her too – has every puppy problem known to man but parvo. Great. So after my bank account cried, Julie and I went home and I sat staring at her wondering what to do with a puppy. I’ve had a baby – those I can handle, but puppies pee. And not in diapers. They also like to chew… and not on their purposely purchased toys.
So far, after five days, the Julie is still very sick but peeing outside. YAY! She also has learned I’m not pleased to be treated as a chew toy.
In other news…
I found out I have received my first five-star review on Amazon.com for Kiss of Freedom and let me tell you I nearly peed myself (like Julie) I was so excited. I was sitting in sticky leather seating at the oil change business when I saw the little stars shining brilliantly up at me from the screen of my to0-high-tech-for-me phone. Oh thank you whoever you are!
All right… I’ll try this again tomorrow. ‘Night folks!
